First Unit In Operation
With an oil refinery on one side and the delta of Porvoo river running out on the other, along with it everything that the surrounding agriculture brings with it. One might think that the water is not usable for drinking…
With MWTP Solutions water treatment unit, it’s easy. When our first customer opens his water tap, cold, pure, crystal clear fresh water runs out.
MWTP’s solution is a success for Moritz Johansson who wanted his own water production in an area where fresh drinking water was not easily accessible.
It is easy to use, and with MWTP’s remote monitoring, he doesn’t have to worry about maintenance, because we will contact him before it’s needed.
“I wanted a reliable and easy to use unit so, I was in no hurry, when knowing it was the first one. But I’m really thrilled with how easily the testing of the unit went with the initial start-up.”
- Moritz Johansson, owner of unit #1.
With the first order of our reverse osmosis water production unit we really wanted to build a production process meant to last. A process that continuously is looking for improvement and eliminating “waste” in production, through feedback, standardization and documentation.
This way we can achieve better pricing for our future customers.
It all come back to why we are here. We want to make water production easy. This means a reliable unit with online monitoring for continuous evaluation and anticipatory maintenance. In this way we can eliminate unexpected downtime and maintenance.
In the best scenario the user does not have to monitor it at all.
“You have to look at it from the big picture” says Simon Lintu, Head of our Business Development. “What is the desired output and who is our customer, it all comes down to that. You make robust designs and processes and fine-tune them through evaluation and feedback. We don’t want problems to occur when the units are in operation at the customer, we strive to notice them when we are designing them, but no later before they move onto the next production process.”
There were high hopes for the start-up and testing day, with partners and customer at the scene.
With the initial start-up of the first unit we got all the running parameters tuned in right from the designing phase. We had the possibility to run the unit in “real” operation conditions, with water from the intended source at our assembly factory. This meant fine-tuning the automation and valves to the fullest potential before shipment. It also made it possible for doing a final water analysis of the permeate water to show that wanted drinking quality was achieved.
In the end, we evaluate every produced unit. Not only to improve the units for future production, but also the whole customer experience. We will continue so, as the unit is in use through-out its lifetime with our remote monitoring program.
